Cards
I recently bought an embosser. I really wanted a cuttlebug, but kept missing the sales, so I bought a Darice texture boutique embosser. I no nothing about embossing, so this was my first attempt to make a card. I really haven't made cards either except on the computer. I love to create something new..I get a real high on it.
I first got a stamp that said Happy Anniversary and stanped it in the middle and to the right. I wanted to have two different textures on the card. So I placed half of my card in the dotted texture plate above the stamped part and sandwiched it between the other plates and rolled it through the embosser. I then took it out of the embossing machine and removed the plates and card. I flipped the card so it was now upside down, switched the plates to hearts so that the embossing plate was only covering the other half of the card, added the cover plates and rolled it through again. I added a black ribbon and bow and three stick on pearls and there you have

Next is an Anniversary Card for my friends Claudia and Richard. Recently my friend Claudia asked me to figure out her daughters new Cameo Silhouette. I have had a little experience running a cricut, but I have to say it still took me some time to figure out this machine. One day Claudia came over and tried to figure out h0w to cut vinyl on the machine. On the first attempt the vinyl kept ripping and bunching up. So, we went to youtube and found this great tutorial. It suggested not to use the mat but to put the vinyl in alone by itself.

Card for my husband on his birthday. He loves to play golf, so I thought this was a
great card for him with the golf ball and tee.,
Card for my Dad on Fathers Day. He likes to make things and he also loves
photography. I did not have an envelope for this card so I used some paper
that I had that had cameras on it. Perfect for him.
Here is the inside of the Fathers Day card, my heart belongs to Daddy. If I would have
had time I would have recorded the song also for him. But that did not happen as I
was having cutting issues with the Cameo Silhouette. the paper would not stay still
on the mat. I must have gone through 7 pieces of black cardstock before it finally
decided to cut it. Very aggravating.
I sent this to one of my voice students for her birthday. She has been taking lessons from me
for the last 13 years. She is one of the most courageous women I know. She is 78 years old
and has a disease called hereditary ataxia which affects all the muscles and nerves in
her body.
I sent this one last week to my new daughter in law, Anne. She loves the color purple and
poppies. She is the best daughter in law you could ask for. What a sweetheart she is.
I sent this one to my friend Amelia for her birthday.
